Tomtom

From July 2012 Until June 2013 I worked as a Web Content Specialist for TomTom in Amsterdam.

I worked there as a contractor via Entopic Internet Content to be a part of the optimisation team. My work consisted of migrating old pages on the TomTom website from PHP to SDL Tridion. Cleaning up old HTML pages, setting redirects accordingly. Multilingual SEO implementation. Resolve maintenance tickets for +45 countries (JIRA). Training remote Web Content Managers in India.

I also managed a redesign project together with a Senior Content Analyst for a significant number of pages on the TomTom website. The tasks for this were to migrate content, communicate with technical developers, and intensively testing all the new functionality’s.

Besides my tasks in the office, I also volunteered for about 3 years as a Product beta tester for new TomTom products. I did some intensive testing of different kinds of sports and navigation devices, maintaining close contact with the developers on these devices.
